Aleksandra Postawka

I received my Master's Degree in 2013, specializing in Internet Engineering. I have presented a thesis "Mobile robot autonomous navigation and environment recognition heuristic methods". My PhD thesis is devoted to modeling and recognition of atypical children behavior. I use formal mathematical models (Hidden Markov Models) and Microsoft Kinect 2.0 sensors.

During my research I plan to create a system for autistic children and their parents or therapists which should help children to become more independent in the future. The system should also provide the capability of child's surveillance, potentially dangerous situations detection, further movements prediction and emotions translation. During the research I cooperate with experienced psychologists.
